Haberdashers’ Academies Trust South is a multi-academy trust with five primary and four secondary schools in and around south-east London. These are currently organised as four ‘clusters’, Crayford Academy is part of the Bexley cluster which provides schooling for children aged 3-18 with over 1600 children in three schools: Crayford Academy (secondary), Crayford Primary and Slade Green Primary.

About the Role
As we continue to grow and innovate, this role offers a fantastic opportunity to help shape the curriculum, mentor colleagues, and inspire students across all key stages. Working closely with the Head of Science, you will play a key role in driving high standards of teaching and learning, fostering a collaborative and dynamic environment.
We are looking for a motivated and forward-thinking, aspiring or experienced, leader who is eager to contribute to our large Science department. This is an exciting time for Science at Crayford Academy, as we continue to grow, invest in new resources, and inspire our students, shaping their futures. With a strong focus on innovation, collaboration, and student achievement, we are looking for exceptional teachers and leaders to help drive our department forward.
Our Science department uses adaptive teaching strategies and multiple representations to drive the understanding of our students. We are committed to our professional development and work closely with the Trust as well as the teaching innovation team to achieve this. Applications from Physics or Chemistry specialists would be particularly welcomed.
