About The Bedonwell Federation

We are a four-form entry school with a large and friendly staff team. We are a federation comprising of Bedonwell Infant and Nursery School and Bedonwell Junior School and gained academy status as a member of the Ignis Academy Trust.

Our Ofsted Inspection in January 2019 states that: ‘This school is a thriving learning community. Staff morale is high and you have nurtured an open and honest culture where staff are confident to take risks, embrace new initiatives and evaluate their own practice’.

The Bedonwell Federation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. As such, all posts are subject to a safer recruitment process, including the disclosure of criminal records and vetting checks. We ensure that we have a range of policies and procedures in place which promote safeguarding and safer working practice across the school.

About Ignis Academy Trust

Ignis Academy Trust currently comprises three schools, Bedonwell Infant and Nursery School, Bedonwell Junior School and Barrington Primary School. All three schools converted in January 2017 and were founding members of the Trust.
