About the Role

As the Office Manager, you will be leading the office staff, be professional and work alongside the Senior Management Team to assist the Head Teacher in their duty to ensure that the school meets its educational aims. 

 

Be responsible for providing professional leadership and management of school support staff in partnership with the staff team to enhance their effectiveness in order to achieve improved standards of learning and achievement in the school and promote the highest standard of business ethos within the administrative function of the school and strategically ensures the most effective use of resources in support of the schools learning objectives. 

 

The Office Manager is responsible for all aspects of human resource management, reception, parent/carer liaison, multi-agency liaison and student business and school events are coordinated providing a seamless, effective service. 

 

We are looking for an adaptable, flexible and resourceful individual who shares in our vision to seek excellence in every day. 

 

Hours of work: 

Monday - Friday 8.30am – 4.00pm (half hour lunch). 

There may be a requirement to work outside these hours to cover school events or staff absence.

 

You will: 

 

  • have proven experience of working in a school office or similar education environment
  • have a working knowledge of SIMS/FMS, with further training available if necessary
  • have a full working knowledge of Word/Excel
  • be able to produce and submit statutory returns to the LA and/or DfE in a timely manner
  • be able to work collaboratively as a member of a team
  • be willing to contribute to the wider life of the school

 

 

This post is a customer-facing position and falls within the scope of the Code of Practice on English Language Requirement for Public Sector Workers. The school has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.

 

The appropriate standards are set out in the JD/Person Specification. These will be applied during the recruitment/selection and probationary stages.
